Oprah Winfrey’s GrantWe recently posted information about Oprah Winfrey’s education grants and we got a lot of questions about her organization type grants and support for women. Oprah is not only an inspiration for thousands of women in the world; she also provides financial support for various projects in Africa through the Angel Network grants. These grants are given to organizations that help people in need and support the economical growth in Africa.

It is difficult not to be inspired by Oprah Winfrey. She is a strong woman who worked her way to the top despite all adversity. Oprah is mainly known for her own talk-show, “The Oprah Winfrey Show”, where she tackles the everyday and unusual problems of her guests. However, Oprah is also known for her charitable heart, because her funding has made it possible to help people all over the world.

The Angel Network grant was given to the Ukukhula Projects. This organization was founded by Bhukani, a mother of seven children who lost her husband and oldest son. She wanted to help the children in her neighborhood, who were living dangerously on the streets without any help or supervision. Bhukani started Ukukhula, an organization that would provide after-school programs for children and give them the necessary skills to survive. It is a nurturing place where every child is welcome. To fund this admirable project, Oprah Winfrey approved the Angel Network Grant, a cause we can all stand behind.

The Human Development Trust was also one of the organizations that received the Angel Network Grant. The organization focuses on the development of communities and helps them to become self-sufficient. They provide essential basics, health care, education and economic development. The grant was given to support training for people responding to the HIV/AIDS crisis in South Africa and has saved many lives.

A similar project that received the grant, and also a very admirable cause, is Nazareth House. This project offers a home environment for abandoned, neglected, disabled and orphaned children. Children with terminal illnesses are also welcome here and find the nurturing home they always wanted.

Another donation was made by Oprah Winfrey’s Angel Network grant to Masea Training Camp. AIDS is still a big problem on the African continent and that is why organizations such as this one are essential for its survival. The Masea Training Camp offers a home to kids that were orphaned by AIDS and is a part of the Salvation Army. The organization does not only offer food and shelter, but also therapy and a nurturing environment. Many children who lost their parents to aids end up looking after their younger brothers and sisters. This is why the Masea Training Camp is of vital importance for the survival and well being of these children. Oprah Winfrey took a personal interest in this program and decided that the cause was more than worthy of the Angel Network grant. More even, this program was so successful that it gave birth to another charitable organization, Tshepo Ithemba Hope.

In short, Oprah Winfrey has not only inspired, but also helped millions of people all across the world. Any project this remarkable has the power to become a huge success and spark new charitable projects and organizations. One thing is certain; the Angel Network has become an indispensable source of support for charitable organizations in Africa. Because of this grant, many children will now have homes and no longer be forced to live on the streets, people with aids will get the education and medical attention they need and communities will thrive as they get the training they need. The Oprah Winfrey Angel Network grant has changed the lives of many people, just like this inspiring woman has touched the lives of millions.
